How it works

1

Describe your CTA

Enter the CTA label text, how clear it is about the action and outcome, and how visually prominent it is on the screen.

2

Enter competition and consistency

Count how many other CTAs compete for attention on the same screen, and whether this CTA's style matches your other primary CTAs.

3

Get a CTA-effectiveness score

The four factors are weighted into one score, with specific rewrites and layout fixes ranked by impact.

Frequently asked questions

Does CTA Sense generate new CTA copy for me?

No. CTA Sense scores the CTA you describe based on clarity, prominence, competition, and consistency — it does not generate replacement copy and does not run a real AI/LLM generation step.

What makes a CTA label "generic"?

Labels like "Submit," "Click here," or "OK" describe a UI mechanism, not an outcome. A stronger label states what happens next in the user's terms — "Start free trial," "Send invite," "Save changes."

Why does the number of competing CTAs matter so much?

Every additional CTA competing for attention on the same screen splits user focus and reduces the click-through rate on your intended primary action, even if that action is well-labeled and well-placed.

What if my screen genuinely needs two calls-to-action?

That is fine — but establish a clear visual hierarchy (one primary, one secondary/lower-emphasis style) rather than giving both equal visual weight, and re-score the primary CTA with the secondary counted as a competing CTA.

Does a high score guarantee conversions?

No — this is a structural quality check on the CTA itself, not a prediction of conversion rate. Real user testing and analytics remain the way to confirm actual performance.

Figma is where the CTA actually gets designed and placed, and Maze can A/B test real conversion performance once it ships. CTA Sense is a quick structural check you run before either — catching a generic label or a competing CTA before it costs you a testing cycle.
