How it works

1

Describe the capability

State what the user can do and the main object involved — the naming logic builds from a verb-noun structure rather than guessing at a catchy label.

2

Check against your existing names

List related feature names already in your product so the suggestion avoids creating a confusing near-duplicate name.

3

Get name options and a clarity score

The result gives a primary suggested name plus alternates, flags jargon, and scores clarity so you can pick a name that reads well in a roadmap, changelog, and the UI itself.

Frequently asked questions

Does this pick the 'best' name automatically?

It generates a primary suggestion plus several alternates based on your inputs and naming style preference. The final choice should still reflect your product's voice and existing conventions.

What counts as jargon here?

Marketing or buzzword language (e.g. 'synergy', 'seamless', 'next-gen') that describes a feeling rather than what the feature actually does. The check flags these terms so the name stays literal.

Why does word count matter?

Names longer than four words tend to get truncated in navigation menus, roadmap boards, and release notes. Two to four words is a practical ceiling for most product UI.

Can I use this for internal-only feature flags too?

Yes, though for internal/developer audiences a more literal, less branded name is usually clearer — select 'Developer' as the audience and 'Plain' as the naming style.
