Why does mixing icon families matter?
Different families use different visual weights and corner treatments, so mixing them reads as inconsistent even when each icon individually looks fine.
What's a 'duplicate meaning'?
Two different icons used for the same action in different parts of the product (e.g. a trash can and an X both meaning 'delete') — this confuses the mental model users build.
Should I use an icon font or SVGs?
