Each connection between systems — EHR, lab, billing, patient portal, and third-party services — is a checkbox representing a real data exchange, like orders/results or claims data.
The diagram is generated from the actual active connections, not a static image — turn a flow off and its line disappears from the map immediately.
Systems with above-average connections are flagged as hubs (highest blast radius if they fail); systems with zero active flows are flagged as isolated, which is often a missed integration rather than intentional.

A system is flagged as a hub when its total connection count (inbound + outbound) is above the average across all systems in the map, and it has at least one connection. This highlights the systems where an outage or change has the widest downstream impact.
This demo uses a fixed representative set of six systems and their common data flows so you can explore the mapping and hub-detection mechanism. A production Integration Map Health would let you add your organization's actual systems and connections.
No. The map and all statistics are computed and rendered entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
A one-way flow means data moves in a single direction (e.g. EHR pushes prescriptions to a pharmacy network); a bidirectional flow means both systems send and receive (e.g. EHR and lab exchange orders and results).
A system with zero active data flows in your map is either genuinely standalone or represents an integration that was planned but never connected — worth verifying rather than assuming it's intentional.
