YOUR INPUTS
Complete every field. The result updates only when you choose Calculate.
Name both models and enter their published input and output price per 1 million tokens. Use the provider's current pricing page for a real comparison, or the illustrative placeholders to explore the calculation.
Add your average input and output tokens per request and expected requests per month — the numbers that actually determine your bill.
The tool multiplies your token volume by each model's price to compute a genuine cost-per-request and monthly total for both models, plus the dollar and percentage gap between them.

From you. This tool has no live connection to any model provider's pricing — enter the current published rate from the provider's pricing page, or use the labelled example placeholders to see how the calculation works.
Model choice depends on task quality, latency, and context needs as well as price. This tool computes the cost side transparently from your numbers; it deliberately does not output a hardcoded "best model" verdict.
No. Placeholder figures shown in the form are clearly labelled illustrative examples, not live pricing. Always confirm current rates directly with the model provider before budgeting.
Cost per request is (input tokens ÷ 1,000,000 × input price) + (output tokens ÷ 1,000,000 × output price). Monthly cost is cost per request × requests per month. The same formula runs for both models.
Not necessarily. A cheaper model that produces more errors or needs more retries can cost more in practice. Use this tool for the direct pricing comparison, and weigh quality and retry rate separately.
The form compares two at a time. Run it again with a different pair to compare a third model against either of the first two.

An official pricing calculator like OpenAI's is accurate for that vendor's models only. A manual spreadsheet works for any provider but takes time to build. MVPHub gives a ready-made, provider-neutral calculator: enter any two models' prices and your usage, and it computes the monthly cost comparison instantly.
