Identify your core activation milestone
The milestone with the highest combination of early timing and high completion rate among activated users is treated as the core "aha moment" the trial should be designed around.

The milestone with the highest combination of early timing and high completion rate among activated users is treated as the core "aha moment" the trial should be designed around.
Instead of generic "day 3, day 7, day 12" emails, check-ins are recommended relative to whether a user has hit each milestone yet — a nudge if they haven't, reinforcement if they have.
If a high-value milestone typically isn't reached until late in the trial, that's flagged as a risk — users who haven't reached it by then are unlikely to convert without intervention.
Start with your best guess based on what engaged users seem to do early — even an approximate milestone list lets you begin structuring the trial around real usage rather than time alone.
Not necessarily — your trial should comfortably cover the timing of your core activation milestone; secondary milestones can continue to be nudged toward after conversion.
Not inherently, but a countdown alone gives no indication of value delivered — pairing it with milestone-based progress ("you've set up 2 of 3 key steps") is much more motivating than time pressure alone.
TrialUX designs the in-trial engagement and check-in experience; PaywallSense decides where paywalls should sit relative to trial and free usage without hurting early adoption.

MVPHub builds a check-in schedule from your own milestone data. A generic drip sequence or a bare countdown timer ignores whether the user has actually reached anything meaningful.
