YOUR INPUTS
Complete every field. The result updates only when you choose Calculate.
Judge how clearly a brand-new user, with no prior context, would understand your core value proposition within the first few seconds.
Count how many actions a user must complete to reach real value, and whether a guided path (tour, checklist, wizard) exists for them.
The three inputs are weighted into one score, with specific recommendations on which activation actions to guide, cut, or defer.

No. First Run AI computes a readiness score and a set of prioritized recommendations from the answers you give — it does not generate onboarding screens, copy, or flows, and does not run a real AI/LLM generation step.
Any action a user must complete before experiencing your product's core value — creating a project, connecting an account, inviting a teammate. Actions that are optional or happen after first value don't count.
A confused user drops off regardless of how few steps remain, and a clear user will tolerate a couple of extra steps if the payoff is obvious. The score weights both roughly equally rather than optimizing one at the expense of the other.
Separate them into truly required (needed for the very first value moment) and deferrable (useful, but can happen after the user has already seen value once). Move deferrable ones to a later session or a post-activation checklist.
Not strictly, but it significantly improves the score because unguided multi-step activation is the most common place new users abandon a product. If your activation truly is one obvious action, guidance matters less.

Whimsical is where the onboarding flow and screens actually get designed, and UXPressia maps the broader customer journey around activation. First Run AI runs earlier — a structural readiness check on clarity, required actions, and guidance before either gets built.
