How it works

1

Score consistently

Enter each requirement with impact, urgency and effort on the same 1–5 scale.

2

Calculate priority

Priority weights impact 50%, urgency 35%, and inverse effort 15%.

3

Protect the Must limit

Set a maximum Must-have share; only the highest scores within that cap stay classified as Must-have.

Frequently asked questions

What does Won't-have mean?

It means not in this release, not never.

Can arithmetic identify every true Must?

No. Teams must still add legal, safety and dependency constraints.

Why cap Must-haves?

A cap forces trade-offs when every request is being called essential.

Why does effort reduce priority?

Only lightly, so difficult high-value work is not discarded automatically.
