Where do the numbers come from?
Entirely from what you enter — your own interview counts and the frequency band people reported. The tool does not access any external research data.
Why does sample size affect confidence separately from the score?
A high score from 3 interviews and a high score from 30 interviews mean very different things. Separating frequency from confidence keeps you from treating early signal as certainty.
What counts as a good mention rate?
There's no universal cutoff, but if fewer than a third of a reasonably sized sample mentions the problem unprompted, it's worth questioning whether it's the priority problem for that segment.
Can I use this for a single interview?
You can, but treat the result as anecdotal. The confidence tier will flag single or very small samples as low confidence so you don't over-index on one conversation.
