No. This is an operational screening aid to help prioritise which access patterns deserve a closer look, not a security audit, certification, or legal compliance tool, and it does not store or transmit any real access-log or patient data — it only calculates from the numbers you enter, in your browser.
Why does self/family record access weigh so heavily?
Accessing your own or a family member's medical record outside a legitimate care relationship is one of the most commonly cited healthcare privacy violations, so it carries a large fixed weight in the risk calculation.
How is the access-volume spike calculated?
Today's access count is compared as a ratio against the user's typical daily baseline — more than 3x baseline adds the largest volume penalty, between 1.5x and 3x adds a smaller one, and anything below that adds none.
Does this tool monitor our systems automatically?
No. It only scores a single manually entered snapshot — a real access-monitoring solution would continuously ingest audit logs and flag patterns automatically across your whole user base.
What should we do with a high-risk score?
Route it to your security or privacy officer for manual review — a high score means the pattern deserves scrutiny, not that a violation has definitely occurred.
