No, despite the name. It does not read, scan, or extract any data from real forms. You enter counts describing the form's structure and your current manual process, and it computes a burden score and a business-case time estimate from that — a planning calculator, not an extraction engine.
How is the time-saved estimate calculated?
It multiplies the number of manually re-entered fields by an estimated 25 seconds per field and your weekly form volume, then converts that to weekly and annual hours — a transparent, adjustable assumption you should sanity-check against your own timing.
Can I use this to compare several forms?
Yes — run it once per form to see which one has the highest standardization opportunity, then prioritize that one first.
Is this medical, legal, or data-entry advice?
