Why does 'weeks live' matter if usage already looks good?
Early numbers are noisy — a feature can look great in week 1 purely from novelty or an internal announcement. This tool caps the score when there's less than 4 weeks of data, even if usage and retention look strong, so you don't over-read a short window.
What if usage is high but retention is declining?
The retention trend counts for up to 25 of the 100 points, so a declining trend will pull the score down meaningfully even with high usage — that combination usually means initial interest isn't translating into lasting value.
What does 'monitor — early signal' mean?
The evidence is mixed: not strong enough to commit to expansion, but not a clear no either. Identify which input (usage or retention) is weakest and address that before deciding.
Is this only for features that are underperforming?
No — it works in both directions. A feature with strong usage and improving retention after enough weeks live is exactly the evidence you'd want before investing in expanding it.
How is the score calculated?
Usage vs. target contributes up to 50 points, weeks-live data maturity up to 25, and retention trend up to 25 (improving=25, flat=12, declining=0). If fewer than 4 weeks are live, the total score is capped at 40 regardless of the other inputs.
