Does Queue Balance automatically move patients between queues?
No. It calculates the imbalance and suggests an approximate number of patients to redirect — any actual patient movement is a clinical and staffing decision made by your team, never automated.
How is the number of patients to redirect calculated?
It's roughly half the difference in waiting-patient counts between the two queues, which would move both queues toward an even split — a starting estimate, not a precise scheduling algorithm.
Can I use this for more than two queues?
Run it once per pair of queues you want to compare. For more than two, compare the most and least delayed queues first since that's usually where the biggest imbalance is.
Is this medical, legal, or triage advice?
No. Queue Balance is an operational planning aid only. It does not perform clinical triage, does not diagnose, and does not store or transmit any real patient data — all calculation happens client-side with no backend.
