No. This is a capacity calculator, not a live dispatch board. It computes a load-balance score only from the driver count, order count, and historical average you enter — it does not manage, assign, or track individual orders or drivers in real time.
What does the load-balance score actually measure?
It compares today's orders-per-driver figure to your historical average orders-per-driver, scoring 100 when they match and falling off the further today deviates in either direction.
Why does the tool suggest a driver count instead of just a score?
Knowing the score alone doesn't tell you what to do about it — the suggested driver count converts the imbalance into a concrete staffing number based on your own historical rate.
We currently manage dispatch through spreadsheets and group chats — will this replace that?
No, and it isn't meant to. This tool only tells you whether today's driver-to-order ratio looks balanced. If that ratio is consistently off, it's a signal worth evaluating a dedicated dispatch platform, which this calculator does not replace.
