No. LogisticsKPI AI calculates real percentage changes from the figures you enter, but it does not generate a written management narrative or connect to any reporting system — you get calculated numbers and a flagged mover, not auto-written prose.
Why is a cost increase treated as a decline, unlike on-time %?
Each KPI has a different "good" direction — higher on-time delivery is favorable, while lower cost per shipment and lower damage rate are favorable. The calculation accounts for this per KPI rather than treating all increases the same.
Can I track different KPIs than these three?
This version focuses on on-time %, cost per shipment, and damage rate as common logistics KPIs — substitute your own tracked figures into the equivalent fields if your priority metrics differ slightly.
What if a KPI was zero in the previous period?
The calculator handles a zero previous-period value as a special case to avoid a divide-by-zero error, treating any nonzero current value as a full swing.
Is the "most significant mover" always the biggest problem?
Not necessarily — it is simply the KPI with the largest percentage change, which could be an improvement or a decline. Check the direction alongside the magnitude.
