No. QuoteMatrix computes results only from the figures you enter — it does not connect to a live supplier portal or scrape real quotations. You enter the numbers from quotes you already received.
Can I compare just two quotes instead of three?
Yes — leave Quote C's name blank and its other fields at 0 and it will be excluded from the comparison.
Why does price count for 50% of the score?
Price is typically the largest driver of total cost in a purchasing decision, so it carries the heaviest weight, followed by lead time and then MOQ fit.
What does the MOQ-fit score measure?
It compares each supplier's minimum order quantity against your ideal order size — a MOQ at or below your target scores highest, since it avoids forcing you to over-buy.
Should I always go with the highest-scoring quote?
Use it as your starting point, then weigh in qualitative factors this calculator does not capture, such as payment terms, supplier reliability, or relationship history.
